Images without the element of color could be severely lacking. Why take away that vital sense of the world's color? Because it can allow us to see everything in a different way.

"Reducing" the image to just darks, lights, and the infinite range between shows us more purely form, shape, and texture - All created with only those darks and lights.

I've said that without light, there is nothing, because we see nothing.

Add darkness in combination with light, and the most dramatic images are possible.
